Best Ways To Wear Red Lipstick

Red lipstick can be really striking and sexy if you know how to wear it. It’s such a classic color, and it adds style to your overall look. Women have adored this shade of lipstick for centuries, and with the many choices and brands available today, we are armed with our sexy crimson lipsticks.

Surprisingly, many women get a little nervous about wearing red lipstick and avoid it all together. It can be a little intimidating at first if you have never worn it, but when you find your right shade, you are ready to face the world.

Most any women can find a shade of red lipstick to suit them, and complement their beauty.   Fair complexions are more suited to true red colors like rose and fire and ice, where warmer skin tones look best with hues of brown and coppery reds.

Here are some tricks that you can use to wear red lipstick. Go light on the rest of your makeup. Don’t reach for the stardust blue eyeshadow, or the bright pink blusher. You should not have technicolor face with colors scattered everywhere.

You want to take the intensity down to a sexy smolder. Reach for your basic neutral makeup kit. To balance the look, go for a matte face, and neutral colors.

For eyeshadow, don’t overdo it. Think beige and sand for daytime, and a gold, or brown for evening if you have a warm complexion. For a fair complexion, reach for the camel or gray colors, and for evening try silver, or a deeper blue shadow.

Try subdued eyeshadows and blushers. Don’t line your eyes with an eyeliner, but try a few coats of mascara on the top and bottom lashes. Also remember to finish your look with a matte powder. Another important factor in wearing red lipstick is to choose a color that suits your complexion.  Before applying the lipstick, use a lip liner in a shade lighter than your lipstick, and line your lips just inside of the natural line. This will help your lipstick stay put. Blend in your color. If you find the color is too bright, simply use a darker lipstick to go over the color, and blend them. It is a quick makeup trick that works.

Coordinate the rest of your look too when you are wearing red lipstick. Go sophisticated with a pretty updo, some eye catching earrings, and high heels.

Draw attention to your face, and remember to find an identical color for your nails. Better yet, pamper yourself and have them done professionally to perfect your look.
