When I got direct tv for the house it was mostly to watch the weather and the news but something weird happened. I started watching a lot of children’s shows for no real reason and I picked up on something – the way they’re written. I sat down one afternoon and decided to try my hand at a children’s book and it came out pretty good, actually. I sent it to a few local publishers and wouldn’t you know it, it got printed! It’s sold better than I ever would have imagined and I know my family’s as surprised as I am that I’m now a bonafide author. I could barely pass high school English so the fact that I’m writing for a living is pretty weird, even to me. I love being good at what I do and I know that I’m going to keep it up. Apparently I have a real knack for children’s writing and that’s a good place to be since the market for these types of books is such a big one!
