Eye Shadow Colors How to Choose the Best Eye Shadow Colors

Knowing how to choose the best eye shadow colors can really accentuate your beautiful face.

Many women want to play it safe and select the same colors of eye shadow as their natural eye color.  Not a good idea, why not go bold and break out of your old stale makeup habits.

This article will hopefully help you to find what colors of eyeshadow work best for you.

It can a little intimidating to walk into your local Ulta store to find the perfect color palette of shadow for your lids.  There are so many to choose from and many eyeshadow palettes offer an array of colors, metallics, shimmers, and creams.  Here are a few of my favorite shadow palettes that are perfect for most everyone.  Every beauty can begin with a basic neutral eye shadow palette.  We can all wear a lovely beige or off white color on our lids.

Neutral Eye Shadow Palettes:

Best Eye Shadow Colors For Brown Eyes: neutral shades, peach, gold, green, khaki, plum, pink, champagne, brown, and deep shades of blue.

Best Eye Shadow Colors for Blue Eyes: neutral shades, metallics like gold, silver, copper and bronze, gray, taupe, mauve, purple and deep blue.

Best Eye Shadow Colors for Green Eyes: gold, bronze, copper, plums, pink and purple.

My best advice is to experiment with color, and play in your makeup box. You can find new looks, and discover what eye shadow colors look best on you.

Under Eye Wrinkles – How To Get Rid of Wrinkles Around The Eyes

By Dina Mills

One of the sure signs of premature aging are under eye wrinkles. The delicate skin underneath your eyes are generally the first places on your face where wrinkles begin to appear. Don’t freak out about them or start wearing dark sunglasses to hide your face everywhere you go. Make them disappear with a few simple tips to get smooth, youthful looking eyes.

Stay Out Of The Sun

Actually, stay out the sun and tanning booths. Any ultraviolet rays will give you harsh leathery skin and wrinkles if you overexpose yourself. Arm yourself with sunscreen before you go sunbathing. Try a self tanning cream, and skip the beach and tanning booth altogether. With so many great bronzers on the market, why not try a Fake Bake Tan? Protect yourself from the sun’s harmful rays and your skin with thank you for it.

Stay Hydrated

Drink lots of water. Water is the perfect drink to keep your body healthy and hydrated. Drink 8 to 10 eight ounce glasses of water, and even more if you are exercising. If you want to add a little lemon or lime juice along with ice to your water, all the better. Vitamin C is great for the skin.

Get More Sleep

One of the best ways to keep wrinkles at bay is to get plenty of sleep. Try to get at least 8 hours of sleep every night, and turn off the lights and television to experience the deepest rest possible. You want to wake refreshed and more beautiful each day.

Stay Away From Vices

Alcohol, smoking, and pollution will all make you old before your time. In more ways than just wrinkles, alcohol and smoking are really bad for your health. They will eventually ruin your health and your natural beauty. Chemical pollutants are harmful and toxic to the body. Your skin, hair, and nails are especially vulnerable and will be the first indications of possible health problems.

You can combat under eye wrinkles with some smart common sense solutions. Take good care of your body, and your true beauty will always shine through.

Correct Way To Apply Eye Shadow

By Dina Mills

Make up can play such an important role in your daily routine. It ranks up there with “What am I going to wear today”, and “Which shoes will go with this dress?”. You really want to show the world your best look possible. Lipstick and blusher are fairly easy to apply, but from the looks of some women, eye shadow can be a real challenge. Some people get the colors all wrong, others don’t blend enough, and lastly, eyeshadow can come out looking disastrous if you really don’t know what you are doing. If you would like to know the correct way to apply eye shadow, the following are a few good tips for have your eyes looking beautiful in no time.

Applying makeup and eyeshadow can be a very easy task when you are using the right methods to bring out your own natural beauty and personal style. It may a take a little practice, but playing in your cosmetics case is really half the fun.

Try a good eye shadow primer to hold your shadow in place. If you don’t have the primer, try a little dab of foundation, or concealer. Gently take your finger and dab the formula over your eyelid, and blend in the color. Apply your color to your lid first, blend, and then work with related colors out and up to your brow line, blending as you go.

For that smokey eye look, use a good makeup brush dipped in shadow, and apply in layers. You will see a difference in the intense color. Use colors that compliment your eye color, skin tone, and hair. I like to buy the large palettes with several colors. They are wonderful for experimenting with dramatic colors.

One really great trick to make you eyes look more open and bright is to dab a light shade of shadow on the inner corner of your eyelid, and down at the lash line. You will be surprised at the glamorous effect. It’s a neat trick for day or night time make up.
