Another important factor in wearing red lipstick is to choose a color that suits your complexion. Before applying the lipstick, use a lip liner in a shade lighter than your lipstick, and line your lips just inside of the natural line. This will help your lipstick stay put. Blend in your color. If you find the color is too bright, simply use a darker lipstick to go over the color, and blend them. It is a quick makeup trick that works.

Coordinate the rest of your look too when you are wearing red lipstick. Go sophisticated with a pretty updo, some eye catching earrings, and high heels.
